A Sketchy Sort Of Webcomic

MAIN ABOUT/CAST ARCHIVE DAVE'S HOMEPAGE WEBSNARK

July 28, 2005 - 017

Heat wave finally broke, and I've finished a second month of strips, woot. Today's strip was originally planned as four panels, with the second pair being stats of the first. The intent was to give the impression that the kid on the Big Wheel was lapping Louie. But it didn't work out.

    So...hot...out....

July 21, 2005 - 015

Bleh. Been having random stabby headaches for the past few days. And yes, so ends Amanda's introductory arc with no Amanda. I have no backlog drawn at the moment, gonna have to do something about that over the weekend. But too tired to do it now.

July 19, 2005 - 014

And happy birthday to me...turned 35 yesterday. The title of today's strip refers to the fact that this is the second "introducing Amanda" strip, and Amanda hasn't actually shown up yet. Oh, and remember, all those X's mean that the area should be inked totally black...they're in bed at night.

July 14, 2005 - 013

Happy Bastille Day! And happy birthday to my grandma DeSio, who is 98. In terms of strip news, this starts a three-strip arc introducing Amanda. Sort of.

July 12, 2005 - 012

Yep. Not only is Fred a giant robot, he's also a transforming giant robot. John's house looks a bit small, even with the addition in back...I'm not so good at scenery yet.

July 7, 2005 - 011

Of course, Murphy got invoked. The server hosting dvandom.com went foom for a while yesterday, but it seems to have been an "I can fix this" problem for the owner, rather than an "I have to replace this" problem.

This is the second "intro" strip for Little Jim. His stereo...er, ARCHETYPE should be growing clearer now. At the moment, I have no buffer of scanned strips (gasp!), but I do have three drawn...I just couldn't upload them last night due to the server issues.

July 5, 2005 - 010

Yay, I've made it into the second month, and into double digits with the strips! I've moved the June news and nattering into the archives, and have decided I'll keep doing it this way, linking the month's N&N at the top of the listing of the month's strips.

On a less happy note, this year the state laws regarding fireworks were relaxed. The city laws were not tightened to compensate. So, by the time the official fireworks that fire from across the street came up, I hated fireworks. And the asshats who like to fire them off from my apartment building's parking lot. Or from other locations, but at 3 AM. Sounds like they're gonna keep going off until the idiots run out of ammo, since it's not going to rain tonight. And I do actually need to get up in the morning Tuesday. Bleh.
